Today has been the worst day of surgery recovery. Everything feels stabby and awful and ow

I got home around 8:30cst (it took a bit to get me up and dressed post-surgery and I was having a hard time keeping things down) But, I’ve eaten, I’ve had a lot of water, and I’ve been sleeping a lot. Surgery went smoothly and recovery is (so far) easier than expected 💜

I guess bluer skies is my “scream into the void” account. I cried three times from anxiety before my procedure yesterday. Mind you, this was a relatively normal procedure… but the last time I had one, I had panic attacks for a week from it. So I was sedated yesterday to do a 15 minute procedure

I am so tired of dealing with insurance 🙃 I am getting surgery in TWO WEEKS. I had a MRI done last week to ensure that everything was okay for surgery and to keep me from having to have a painful procedure that caused a week of panic attacks last time I had it. (1/4)

If y’all have seen it, my brother in law is being taken off the vent tomorrow and he is not expected to live more than a few hours. Some people have reached out to ask how they can help, I don’t have a lot of answers, but here’s some options in this thread to start with.

Trying to organize time off for my brother in law’s death and funeral (because that’s where we’re at) and my surgery next month… I can’t afford to not get paid. I’m trying so hard to be a good sibling, a good employee, a good spouse, and take care of myself and I feel like I’m drowning. [ #vent ]

So, my brother in law had a double lung transplant about a year ago. He has to have regular anti-rejection drugs so that his body doesn’t reject the new lungs. This week, their insurance decided THE HOSPITAL PHARMACY is suddenly “out of network.” Nbd, go to a new pharmacy, right?

- changed my name with the dmv - went grocery shopping - redid part of the kitchen - cleaned out the storage space - went to my grandpa’s birthday party - read for 30 minutes - updated my new planner Overall, a really busy and productive day! Now to collapse for a bit 😅
