Bad chemo day. Day 10 was the same last time round - no energy, thoroughly miserable, spontaneous sobbing. I know it's the tablets, I'll get through it, life will be better tomorrow. I've been really lucky so far - no real symptoms apart from the day 10 blues.

Finally got through my LinkedIn message backlog. It's like dealing with email, back in the day. I'm finding being a Fractional CTO is 90% sales work, which is somewhat alien where the thing you're selling is yourself. Selling projects to clients, games to publishers is easy compared to this.

I turned off the wifi capability of my TV today. Sick of it interrupting viewing with pop-ups for updates, streaming adverts when I turn it on, and just getting in the way of the job it's meant to be doing. Just display the feed from whatever HDMI input I've selected, and job done.

This morning I was reminded of our crazy times at Sportal. It's 1998, the dotcom boom is in full swing. Every web site needed to be a 'portal', so as Sportal we'd signed up a number of premier league football teams, along with luxury brands like Ferrari.

It's record fair day in Derry again. Brunch in "soup and potatoes" place, then a wander around Derry itself, then the yummy coffee and cake place. One street made me giggle. One side was Irish pub after Irish pub. The other had a shop selling every Virgin Mary imaginable followed by a sex shop.
