I'm on the last part of VanderMeer's Absolution. I'm quite enjoying it. I can tell you what, plot wise, has happened. But what is *actually* happening...it feels a bit like a fever dream. Is that part of the point? Area X disconnects you from reality? Sense making is fluid?

I'd love to open a Maker Space in my suburb, with the tech tools (computers, 3D printers, soldering), craft tools (massive planers, drill presses, table saws, CNC machines). You could charge memberships or rent space, sell materials in house. Offer classes/certifications to use the dangerous stuff.
