LitRPG, more than a lot of genres, ultimately shows out in Kindle Unlimited page-reads, but I'm very pleased with Agent of the Wild's release already. Also a bit shocked that some people have -already- finished the 770-page book, but that's how it goes sometimes. What matters is they liked it! 🥳😁

As usual, I can't watch this Pels game against the Clippers (or Lakers or Kings or Warriors) because NBA League pass thinks Las Vegas is somehow part of the California TV market. Still, I'm kind of rooting for the Clippers. No reason to give the Pels ownership any excuse NOT to change things.

Went to a cooking class at Martha Stewart's The Bedford here in Vegas to learn how to make pierogies, then stuck around for an early dinner + pumpkin cheesecake. We were celebrating my angel-wife's change in jobs, but it was also not a bad way to ring in tomorrow's launch of Agent of the Wild! 🥳

I reported earlier in the summer that Willie Green had lost support from the players and organization, yet Dumars was mandated by Benson to keep him around. Green still does not have the locker and the Pelicans patience is wearing thin. Players are checked out and management sees it.

It's maybe a little bit silly to admit, but we have the See These Bones collector's edition on our coffee table, and every time I sit down, I feel compelled to pick it up and page through it. It's just really, really cool and l'm so glad my angel wife convinced me to get it made. 😊😊

Made a last-second audible and completely rewrote the Speaker of Tongues recap for Agent of the Wild, cutting about 1.5k words. It's always hard to find a middle ground between giving every name and place the reader might need to remember and keeping the recap... you know... readable. 😅

Two bad second halves from Poole. Five straight bad quarters from Herb. Good showing from the rookies. Terrible defense all around. 0-2.

Queen obviously has a lot to work on defensively, but I like his energy on that end. He's fighting and sometimes that's what matters most. Both our rooks are playing hard.

Really impressed by Fears. He's way more ready than I thought he'd be at this point.

Done with the formatting. 😅 I write my manuscripts in print format, but do the digital (epub) formatting manually afterwards. That takes a while with this series, both because of the length (215k+ words) of each book and because all the LitRPG elements require their own styles. Glad to be done!

Almost all beta readers have reported back on Agent of the Wild, edits have been made, and I'm ~halfway through the formatting process. One last readthrough this weekend to catch anything I broke (there's always something), and then we are good to go for next week's release!
