Trump, Vance and MAGA are part of a global authoritarian movement at war with democracies. At the moment it is a cold war, but their alliance with dictators and their contempt for human rights and the rule of law is clear to everyone, except those whose mental frameworks are stuck in the 1980s.

Trustworthy, predictable allies matter. For Canada, the EU is a reliable ally. The US obviously is not. The idea that people in Alberta think they should separate and make themselves more vulnerable is batshit.
