After reading some real duds, I've returned to flipping through the Stellar Almanac (the tourist's guide to hell I was so keen on a couple months ago) Descriptions of hell's farmers' markets and explanations that demons have to use substitutes for salt are precisely as charming as hoped.

So I just learned about W. M. Akers' Deadball. It's a solo RPG about simulating baseball games. The playsheet is literally a scorecard. First rpg to make me tear up. My dad didn't know a thing about ttrpgs but the man's religion was baseball. He would have loved this.

A bit of joy this evening: someone I cited in my PIE resource masterpost showed up in the comments to share a paper of his that I'd not yet seen.

Scarlet Hollow is so fucking good. Got two saves ready to go the moment e6 drops however far in the future that is. honestly the "replay from a fresh start every time I go back and then move all of my saves up to date" strategy has been a great move. Seeing all sorts of new stuff.
