Sporting my traditional Kutchi Bandhi that I bought from Gujarat last year at the SKLPC Mela. The Mela event brings all of the community here in the UK from 24 villages by Bhuj together. Proud to have my heritage from this region. Great to see their new India Gardens project progressing so well.

An amazing Cross Roads Music Festival event in Cricklewood today with sounds from around the world. PS. I really love the Cricklewood sheep.

Some buses that were used on the 28 route were electric but have now reverted to being diesel powered. Given that there is an ambition to have the entire London bus network to be electric by 2030, I'm calling for the 28 bus route to be prioritised to fully run with EV buses. youtu.be/kc48m5T8BSs?...

The new proposed SuperLoop 13 will make Neasden Town Centre, Neasden Temple and Stonebridge Station in Brent much more accessible. I’m urging everyone to get involved with the consultation and help deliver this new bus service for the local area.

A lovely interfaith event on the International Day of Peace in Queens Park. With everything going on in the world Gathering for Peace events like these are the antidote to hate and brings communities and faiths together.

⬆️Performance ⬇️Waiting times The Government has for the first time published league tables on the performance of NHS services across the country with the NHS Trust which runs Northwick Park, Central Middlesex and Ealing Hospitals scoring well. Waiting list times have also dramatically improved.

It was great to visit the CMSS Skills Development Centre alongside @bassammahfouz.bsky.social The Centre supports disabled people from across Hillingdon, Harrow and beyond to live their lives independently.

Delighted to join HRH The Princess Royal to mark the completion of the Tideway Tunnel. This project is transforming the tidal Thames, dramatically reducing sewage discharges and creating new public spaces on the river for all Londoners.

Another fine example of mess that the current Government inherited. The Lib-Dem / Tory coalition Government abolished the Forensic Science Service in 2012. Poor handling of forensic evidence has led to criminals walking free. The Law Commission is now consulting to re-establish these services.

The Wembley Mela was buzzing this weekend. Great to see so many at this well organised and now annual event at King Edward VII Park.

A consultation will soon begin on a new proposed Superloop 13 route between Ealing Broadway and Hendon.

As we approach the new school year, it's great to see 10 schools across Brent and Harrow benefiting from the national £1.2 billion of funding for school infrastructure being provided by the Government. Labour invests in our children after the Tories left them with crumbling buildings.

Great to have young people from across Harrow visiting City Hall and to engage with them on the work of the London Assembly and my role representing them as their London Assembly Member.

Great to have London's Walking and Cycling Commissioner @willnorman.co.uk in Brent today to tour and discuss transport connectivity and opportunities in Brent alongside representatives from local organisations.

Great to see the H12 South Harrow to Stanmore bus route becoming more frequent on evenings and weekends. From Saturday 30 August, buses will operate every 12 minutes instead of every 15 in the evening on Mondays to Saturdays (after 20:00 on weekdays and 19:00 on Saturday) and all day on Sunday.

It took far longer than expected but great to see a clearer entrance to Willesden Green tube station after the unsightly scaffolding which obstructed the pavement for pedestrians was finally removed.

Yesterday an extraordinary Plenary meeting was held at City Hall following the Met Police's announcement that selected front counters would close across London with Harrow's counter being identified for closure.

Today is #ZeroHIVStigmaDay I had the pleasure of joining an incredible reception hosted by NAZ to mark the day and learnt more about the great work they do from their Chair Sanjay who also happens to be a Brent resident! The power to end stigma lies with all of us.

Great to be at the East and South East Community Football Tournament organised by the Brent Chinese Association in collaboration with the Chinese Welfare Trust, Frank Soo Foundation and Hendon FC. This year's theme is raising cancer awareness and promoting national screening uptake.

I recently visited Shiv Shakti Maa Meldi Temple in Wembley where there was a knife attack. The heroics of Himesh, Vishal and others prevented a wider tragedy as the Temple was full at the time of the incident. 🙏🏽

My statement on reports that the Met are considering closing public facing front counters in London. I understand that Harrow is one of the counters earmarked for closure. Counters in Harrow and Wembley must remain open and accessible to the public. I call on the Met to rethink these proposals 👇
