I recently finished reading Black Water Sister by @zenaldehyde.bsky.social, who has such an uncanny gift for place and voice. I loved her Sorcerer to the Crown books and Black Water Sister is as vivid while being completely different. This is a book about the boxes we put ourselves in out of fear.

Behind Frenemy Lines by @zenaldehyde.bsky.social is an ABSOLUTE BANGER and I cannot rec it highly enough Loved both MCs to bits, but - in a first for me in an m/f romance - I think I maybe loved the male MC just a tiny smidge more than the female MC?? Mind blown. Didn't know that was possible

Delighted to hear Mars Evacuees and Space Hostages are being re-released. These are some phenomenal mid-grade SF books, some of the very small list of books my son really took to, and which I hugely enjoyed reading to him.

Zen Cho's BEHIND FRENEMY LINES hit the sweet spot for me for romance novels: protagonists who are too smart to not be stupid. I couldn't put the book down as Kriya and Charles negotiated their way through lawyer life (with its attendant bad bosses & moral quandaries) to their happy ending. A treat!
