Speaking to somebody the other day, I was reminded of the importance of resisting media & political discourses that attempt to exoticise neo-Nazism (groups like the National Socialist Network) &/or the terrorists in their orbit (like the Christchurch killer). "Made in Australia." 🫡

So not only do NDIS participants have to navigate the NDIS bureaucracy - they also have to navigate the competence of third party contractors accountable to no one. Oh and managing THEIR DISABILITIES.

"The federal government said it has consulted extensively with LGBTIQA+ groups" Saying this is really just an admission that the fed government despises queer people. Federal Labor claimed the same with the introduction of the tranny scanners in airports years ago.

Anti-trans bigotry has been part of science for the entire history of trans care. The two main schools of thought are: 1. Trans people should not be allowed to transition whatsoever (or as few as possible). 2. We should ease their suffering until such time as we can eradicate their kind (eugenics).

What has happened here is basically that data from the journals was collected for the sake of a "quality control" measure. Then, that same data was used in published research, a completely separate purpose, without the consent of the people affected. This is an EXTREME violation of research ethics

oml they went with the "well sure you were groomed as a child but it's fine because he's a good guy" ending. Been seeing a lot of anime lately that ultimately falls flat because the author apparently doesn't recognise abuse and cannot comprehend a man ever doing evil things.

I'm not sure how well the evidence still holds up, but in the 80's/90's DID was known to be the most hypnotisable group of all mental illnesses. This lead to the absorption hypothesis (i.e. that DID was iatrogenic), but that is largely considered incorrect now.

The whole notion of sex is better understood as a property of a species and not a person. The species itself arises from the behaviour of all individuals grouped as such. The emergent properties of the species do not necessarily belong to any member of that species.
