Aziraphale and I were out for a walk today, when we came across a crowd of humans wobbling about on a frozen pond. Ice skating. I asked him, casual-like, if he’d ever been ice skating. He said no. So I took his hand and twenty minutes later we were standing on the ice.

When I got back from the village yesterday, Aziraphale said I hadn’t turned into my snake form for weeks now. Told him I had been in my serpentine form a couple days ago, to check on everything. ... Once I go full serpent, there’s always the question of whether I feel like coming back...

This happened today. Aziraphale was making lunch, and I was bored. Or tired. Or both. It’s an original, and I think it’s shit. But well…

Really liked my sunglasses.

Not much fireworks here in the South Downs, but last night was perfect! Got to spend it with the angel. My angel! …and two cats.

Another year gone, and humanity’s still here, setting off fireworks, insisting this is the year they finally get it together. Statistically unlikely, but points for optimism. You lot survived floods, plagues, wars, and reality in general, so I suppose that deserves a drink. Or several!

Another peaceful day at the cottage. Fire crackling away, cats sprawled out. They get on suspiciously well. Mentioned to @azfell-esq.bsky.social that I could smell something different about them. Change in the air. He gave me that look and said, "They’re cats, dear, it’s perfectly normal."

I know I talk a lot about myself, and humans seem to like it. But look at him, my angel. He said I look like a movie star. But he’s the most beautiful creation the almighty ever came up with. His eyes represent the stars I can no longer see. His hair’s like the clouds that help me manipulate…

Tonight's dinner will be a traditional, well, more a vegetarian Scotch Broth. Gonna serve it with a dry red. A Pinot Noir! ... Dinner's ready, angel...

The angel and I, we’d fallen asleep. Not in our bed, mind ya, but sprawled on the sofa instead. When I woke up, there were both cats tucked between our feet. Aziraphale was still asleep. Glasses slightly crooked, hair a mess, breathing soft. And the flannel... He looked beautiful. Angel? ...Dinner?

Early afternoon. Before I checked on the Bentley, I took a little detour. There’s this patch of forest near our cottage, and I’ve learned not to trust anything just because it looks harmless. After everything the angel and I’ve been through, ya never know what might be lurking about, right?

A shirt or turtleneck today?

Nothing beats a proper home. Warm and dim. Once Aziraphale stopped looking like he’d been carved out of an ice sculpture, we relaxed on the sofa. He was swaddled in blankets, nose and earlobes still a bit pink from the cold. I’d gone down to the cellar and liberated a decent bottle of red. ...

Got a dozen new pairs of sunglasses from Aziraphale. Look just like my old ones, but these come with a clever little enchantment to keep my snake eyes more protected.

Because someone asked. Yes, we’re engaged. But as ya might have noticed, over the past few millennia, both Heaven and Hell have made a hobby out of sticking their noses where they don’t belong. One day we’ll make it official. How, when, and under what apocalyptic circumstances remains to be seen.

Following a hint from Aziraphale, I found myself drifting toward the greenhouse. I sidled up to the festive ficus and had a proper squint. There it was. My watch. Aziraphale said it was a gift. Apparently this is what cats do. I turned on my heel and sauntered back to the house, timepiece reclaimed.

Took me weeks! Ya better like it! Seasonal Nonsense So it’s Christmas again. The lights are back twinkling like crazy. Angels are singing, demons are sulking, humans are panicking as if the fate depends on glitter and tape.

Whatever ya celebrating, cheers!

Way too early to get up. But I like watching the angel trying to send messages without hitting the wrong letters. The little wrinkles on his forehead, when he's all concentrated. The little curses you can barely hear...
