It’s really easy for documented software development commands (instructions for building, testing, etc.) to become out of date. Wouldn’t it be cool if you could just execute the command definitions in your project’s documentation? Introducing `acdx` — a new command runner for AsciiDoc files!

Yes, surveilling the artists is completely backwards. We should be requiring LLM watermarks in their output so we can be sure what’s human-written and what’s computer-written. This is naive of me but AI watermarking feels like such a complete win that I’m surprised it’s not been legislated yet.

For the $10k to $15k estimate price, we could have paid three independent developers to add credential handling, remote transactions / handshakes, and improved webassembly support to Gitoxide. This just is not a serious contribution to the community. The hard part never was rewriting git!

On Linux, I'm noticing binaries installed with `cargo install` AND `cargo binstall` have the strange property where fully statically linked binaries are *smaller* than binaries that are dynamically linked. This is true (for the cases I've seen) even when both binaries are stripped. Anyone know why?

I’ve heard scientists talk about students growing such that they can reliably write papers, and the importance of continuing towards the next milestone of writing the RIGHT papers. This applies to software too! I hadn’t thought about how LLMs change that dynamic for less experienced engineers.

Haven’t tried it yet, but this looks really cool for local models. Weights are streamed layer by layer during inference.
