Kristi Noem lied about an immigrant being a cannibal. Of course it was all made up nonsense. Normal people didn’t believe it, just like we didn’t believe Haitians were eating pets. This is part of dehumanization of immigrants playbook. Fear and hate is the point.

‘Manhunter’ (1986) is my favourite police thriller, and Tom Noonan’s performance is terrific. RIP

These are my favourite foreign language horror movies- Or, foreign language to me rather, as I only speak English. I find ‘Perfect Blue’ to be a bit more of a psychological thriller, but that could also be considered a Horror movie. 👍

This is a fun visit into the Criterion Closet, for myself, in that I don’t think I’ve ever heard Atom Egoyan speak before, and was unaware that he has that infectious flair about him. Also, he mentions ‘Family Viewing’, which I adore, and is likely my favourite of Egoyan’s works, that I’ve seen. 👍
