I liked the ending of Stranger Things 🤷‍♂️ I’ve always loved the ending of Life On Mars (the uk one), Buffy had a fantastic ending, Blackadder Goes Forth is just impeccable, Star Wars Clone Wars saves it’s very best for last. “And somewhere else the tea’s getting cold.”

I’ve been sick the past few days and have woken up today with my voice about an octave lower than usual which on the one hand is oh no, getting sicker but on the other hand is yay extra fun to sing.

Finally settled yesterday on A Natural History Of Dragons by Marie Brennan as my first read of the year. It’s one of those books that I’m so fully convinced I will really like that my brain just decided that we didn’t actually need to read it so it’s just been sat there unread for a decade.

It’s that crucial time of the year when I have to pick what’s going to be the first book I read. It has to be a good one, to get the year off to a good start. But I have absolutely no idea what I want to read 🙃📚

So, what books did we all get for Christmas? 🎄 I got these four from my mum 📚 it’s a very me selection: a fantasy about a kitty cat, a Star Wars, a first in yet another series I decided to finally start collecting, and a because hyperfixation wildcard.

Look at this tiny little monster. Every time I’ve left the room for more than four seconds today she’s just started yelling her head off until I came back and sat down so she could climb back up under my chin for more cuddles.

My mum got me a moopsy for Christmas! Anyone tries to steal my Lower Decks box set and they’ll get their bones drunk.

And quiet once more descends upon my house as everyone who doesn’t live here goes home. Ah, bliss 😌

Was just putting some of gifts my sister sent my mum home with the other day under our tree and saw this and I’m about to cry 😭 that’s the first “uncle” I’ve gotten.

The plan: clean the house in preparation for visitors arriving tomorrow. What actually happened: three bookcases full of hardback books reorganised and re-alphabetised My back hurts 🙃

We’ve reached the I have so much shit to do before Christmas and I really don’t want to do any of it and I’m already exhausted and nobody is even here yet so can it all just be over part of December 🙃

A delivery person left a bunch of packages on our doorstep, in the pouring rain, and didn’t ring the bell 🙃 And it was books. So they are absolutely ruined. Totally not murderous sigh.

Ok still enjoying The War Between The Land And The Sea, though probably a bit less than the first two episodes. It’s not bad or anything, some of it is still absolutely fantastic and it made me tear up multiple times but then I also did a big tired sigh at another thing. Like, do we have to, really?

Guess who just decided that walking around the half drunk mug of hot chocolate was too much effort and so instead walked through it 🙃 cats.

Obviously I watched the first two episodes of the new Doctor Who spin off with it’s just a bit too long name, The War Between The Land And The Sea, and so far it’s giving vibes that are closer to Children Of Earth than anything else so 👍 if it ends up even half as good as COE was it’ll be a big win.

Just got back from seeing Wicked: For Good. Yeah, it was pretty good.

Finally finished my ridiculous pile of half done puzzle books/ magazines (except for some logic problems which don’t count, shush) so I treated myself to a Beyond Sudoku subscription which I have coveted for many many years. Yay, excited wiggle 🙂

Oh electricity, I missed you, NEVER LEAVE ME AGAIN! We have been without power since before I woke up this morning. My phone was basically dead. My steam deck was basically dead. It’s bloody cold and I was trying to keep Kisy warm but she kept yelling at me because her heat mat wasn’t heating! 🙃
