Recently uncovered grave marker at Govan Old Churchyard. The faint text running across the top reads 'MEMENTO MORI'. The carving also includes two shovels possibly indicating the grave of a Sexton. It is dated 17?7. #mementomorimonday @govanstones.bsky.social

#FolkloreThursday The Blue Men of the Minch are creatures who inhabit the stretch of water between the Outer Hebrides and the mainland of Scotland. They can create storms, capsize ships and drown sailors. They are human in size and appearance but blue in colour.

Laughing in front of cages designed to hold migrants and refugees, many of whom came to this country fleeing extreme violence and poverty, and hoping to raise their children in a more compassionate country. And many of whom followed all the legal procedures to enter the country.
