Spent the last few days in Tübingen Germany at #TeaP2026 where I presented some data from one of my PhD thesis chapters about Proactive Cognitive Control use by children in a working memory task. Thoroughly enjoyed my time in Germany meeting old and new friends.

This Sunday (7th September) there will be a nationwide Emergency Alert test at 3pm. For women experiencing #DomesticAbuse, a hidden phone can be a lifeline. The Emergency alert this week will trigger a loud siren noise, even if your phone is on silent.

Today marks the start of the second year of my PhD. Here are some thoughts 🧠on the first 12 months: - Doing a PhD is by far one of the best decision’s I’ve ever made - Everyday I’m surrounded by amazing people who energise and inspire me 🤩 - The break through highs are worth the little struggles

Something to be carefully pondered. As I enter the 2nd year of my PhD what comes next is something I’ve started thinking about - especially which avenue will bring me the most joy. So far academia is winning on the enjoyment scale in every aspect - let’s see if it stays that way!! #PhDSky
