The consolidation continues...there just isn't enough money to go around for traditional video gaming. Unless the industry can make the development cheaper or find an audience willing to pay more or find a different business model...then this will continue. insider-gaming.com/people-can-f...

The game industry is under a ton of stress right now...I wish all of the devs, who are turning to kickstarter, a ton of success. Unfortunately, my gut tells me many of these companies will realize that's not light at the end of the tunnel, but more or less a flashlight left from a prior dev...

All I take away from the noise around World is that the demand for the game is very high. Now let's see just how many people in the US will even be able to buy the system it runs on.

I dunno, I think the community building features (trading virtual games, multiple people playing the same game at same time, and the overall idea of connecting with people outside your main circle)....kind of a big leap for them and gaming...but to each their own.....

I don't think you got anything wrong. I mean both doing well would mean the console market is doing better. The only thing is whether it cannibalizes other areas....I don't think it does, but then again, gaming growth will need others areas to come through as well.

Not necessarily saying one way or the other, but without additional data points, it's hard to see if "fantastic" is the right characterisation...meaning, yes it sold, but did it sell well compared to what Square wanted? What else was it going up against? Basically any context here would be helpful.

That's weird....someone messed up your board and took some of the consoles out of the S tier....you should look into that.

One of my favorite sales mentors always says this...don't stay after the deal is closed....but I see what you're doing here...if only the opposition knew how to fight....

So I get it, solid work. but when you're only growing revenue by 2%....that's my thing. Of course it's business and not really about the game....but eventually business impacts the game, if not already- and this was with several launches, a GP price increase, no major competitor launch...
