Something I ❤️ about Hytale is the fact they have bug bounty payouts from day one. Had friends who’ve pentested MC and have gotten nothing in return, other companies would give $$$$$. Not having bug bounties opens the door to only bad actors with malicious intent being the ones finding flaws.

One thing about Hytale I don’t like is the core Twitter community. They glaze Hytale way too much and try to shy away from any form of pushback or criticism. This is *NOT* how an early access game will succeed. Community members need to speak honestly about how things suck and how to improve.

I'd like it to be more different to Minecraft. It's very polished, but the feeling I get when I play is that I'd rather just play Minecraft. It's very early, though, and I know modding will be an important aspect. I will definitely play more later.

Tried my best to re-create a human version of my Minecraft/Penguin avatar in Hytale. Making non-humanoid characters is very difficult so decided to just settle for making him human. Blue skin looks too much like a smurf!

The core Hytale community glazes the game laughably too much lol. Bar is set at "they did bug fixes instead of doing nothing" less than 24 hours after release day. Game is pretty fun! Haven't played enough to form proper opinions just yet, just saw this tweet and wanted to point it out.

It has recently come to my attention that baby parrots do not exist in Minecraft. (you simply can't breed them) This shalt not stand. 🦜

The drop system definitely has its issues, but something I like most about it is how older, forgotten features can finally get the attention they deserve. New baby textures are so cute, and honestly something I really overlooked ever getting an update. Excited for what's to come in 26.1!

I warned about this for over a year now and there was plenty of time to move, but as always the Minecraft community was stubborn. That's alright, it's not my problem anymore. I still hope artists who try to make the switch now have a good experience on BSKY and are able to rebuild their following.

No hate to the OptiFine guys, they do great work, but Sodium just hits the right notes for me: - Open source - No cheaty things like torch lighting and zoom - No un-toggable ‘donator’ capes that override default ones Just a performance mod! Nothing more or less. Glad we have more options nowadays

Can 2026 *please* have MC:BE on Mac? Macs are simply unbeatable in price. RAM prices are through the roof and due to Apple's long-term agreements they are nowhere near the prices of new PCs. BE has so many cool features, and yet I can't play the apparent "Minecraft for everyone" edition. Please!

In true Hytale fashion, after many errors and loading screens... I finally pre-ordered the game! This is after never receiving a name reservation email from neither my 2019 or 2020 newsletter. Luckily had a 2024 email. Early access is early access, here's hoping this game is worth it! 😅

The Minecraft community is notoriously afraid of change, but IMO the new numbering system is more more easier to remember and understand at a glance. Even I forget what version we’re on and have had to Google it sometimes on the older systems. Bedrock’s is still slightly confusing though…

New cape got cached on NameMC. Seems like another unused cape that got accidentally given to somebody. My best guess is it's a scrapped Mojira/Crowdin cape before the existing ones came to be. Or a Wiki Editor cape. Credit to @trenchcoatcraig.bsky.social as he suggested the latter!

Seems like Hytale is pretty much happening now. Hypixel Studios 2025 Inc. shows up in public records (instead of acquiring the now dissolved Hypixel Studios) and he’s tweeted there’s a 99.67% chance of it releasing.

I bet so many of the mod developers Mojang has hired in the last few years have rallied for this. Such a welcoming change and opens the door for so much more!

Highly recommend commissioning Bon if you're in the market for a new Minecraft skin. Bon is masterful at being able to translate your vision perfectly into your skin!

Recently got a custom cape made by @goodly.bsky.social! It's my swirl design - in the style of the old Minecon capes. I've been loving it in-game! I think my daily mods will always include a custom cape mod now so I can equip it instead of a vanilla one! #mcartday

Bluesky is so wonderful but I seem to bump into and talk to the same people repeatedly. They’re all great convos so I’m not complaining, but man I wish more of the MC community make the switch. Shoutout all the Mojang devs who’ve moved to Bluesky they’ve definitely made moving here more enticing!

Remember Hypixel? I really hope they’re working on updating to the latest version. Very innovative server at its peak but it being stuck on such an old version is such a hindrance to what they can do. All the games I used to play, like paintball have 0-5 players on most of the time nowadays…

IMO, one of Mojang's biggest missed opportunities was Minecraft Earth. The game had so much potential that wasn't capitalized upon. Had a great little community and dev team too. Still miss the game today. 😢
