Behind every impressive AI model is an invisible hero: a quietly excellent dataset. Good datasets often get taken for granted or treated as an afterthought. In reality, they’re the foundation of accuracy, fairness, performance, and reliable AI outputs.

Ghent University's rector lost an honorary Ph.D. opportunity because of fake AI quotes. Her speech cited AI-generated Einstein quotes that never existed. Ghent University had explicitly warned against the blind use of AI before. Yet she still fell into the trap: It’s called automation bias.
