Hired builders to put in new stairs and now I can't tell if I'm going upstairs or downstairs. One of the children ended up on the UNDERSIDE of the steps, fell and cut her head. Raised it with the builders and they just shrugged. Typical Irish attitude of "Escher, it'll be grand".

Another painting so. I painted "Pier Fishing" last year prompted by all the times I've gone to a pier and some young woman or young man is there before me owning the world and its oceans. Today's sketch is a Dublin one from the day my world was opening up again and I would touch another living human being's hands for the first time in a year. I went into town early so before I got to her hands and her company I had 20 minutes to sit on a bridge and do this sketch. #urbansketching
