Happy Friday, new episode's live! Here's our deep dive into R.E.M.'s Out Of Time (1991).

Finally finished editing our Out Of Time episode, that's scheduled to go live Friday morning.

Okay, so we just recorded New Adventures, and I'm about a third of the way through the Out Of Time edit. With any luck I can have that uploaded Friday night or Saturday morning.

I did more prep for that New Adventures in Hi-Fi episode than I have for any test or interview in my life. Which is to say: some.

Ministry, KMFDM, Minus 5, Swans, NIN, R.E.M., Pigface, and even King Crimson into his final days. A lot of people around Seattle have Bill Rieflin stories. Not me, but more interesting people I've encountered over the years. He was taken far, far too early.

Bill Rieflin was a _phenomenal_ musician. His drum work on the title track for Accelerate is my favorite drum work of the post-Bill Berry era of R.E.M., but his career spans so much more than that. He's a huge part of R E.M. history, and a founding pillar of Seattle's industrial metal scene. R.I.P.
