This would be a bigger concern if it was the woo wing of left NIMBY pro-Russia dead-enders who were getting elected, but it's overwhelmingly charismatic sewer socialists who got into politics post-2016 who are actually seeing the most success. These people are earnest af.

A cool thing about California is that transgender and gender non-conforming people are a protected class. If you stereotype or denigrate a trans colleague at work, you’re going to lose your job. 🐻

Cities in blue states have less crime and murders! Higher life expectancy, maternal mortality more Scandinavia (California) than Africa (Texas) Even lower overall tax rates than red states like Texas (which replace wealth income tax with higher taxes and fees on the poor) while subsidizing them!

It turns out Nithya Raman did win her own 4th City Council District... While one would assume an incumbent ought to be winning their own district, there is something to be said for how hard-earned even that might be for Raman in particular.

The gravitational pull of the worst rich people in Los Angeles must be like a supernova because Lieu, Horvath, and Zbur all campaigned on the right things and they all de facto kind of suck as electeds (even if Horvath is a little better than Lieu and Zbur) and I think this is why.

This is a cool effort by a school system to leverage publicly owned land to create thousands of housing units, affordable to teachers. School districts own huge amounts of well-located, underutilized land that they could use for such housing projects. But few districts are actually doing so.
