Back-to-work cookie series part 3: pumpkin pie shortbread! This one was a bit experimental. I've never used canned pumpkin pie filling before, and now I've still got half a can of the stuff in my fridge. :)

The first two batches of cookies for next week's return to work are done. Why do I make such promises to work friends and challenges for myself? Anyway, shortbread cookies, all of them. The red is chai and the grey/blue is Lady Grey tea with orange zest.

I made shortbread cookies. The light ones are almond and the dark ones are supposed to be chocolate espresso. Mixed success. :)

A weird thing about the fixation on “are we already at 1.5C of warming / when will we hit 1.5C” is that, since avoiding *every fraction of a degree possible* of climate change matters, the actual big actions the world needs to scale up today to aim below 1.5 or 1.6 or 2.0C are *exactly the same*.

I got a bunch of things today: Got a day off. Got my annual flu shot. Got my 6th Covid shot. Got dinner at a nearby Italian restaurant. It's a good day.

Looks like this lil ninja walked an average of 7.5 km per day on his vacation. Next time, I'm traveling exclusively by howdah. Sheesh!

What a difference a day makes. Today is cool and rainy, so we took some buses down to Granville Island Market. Like zpike Place Market, but smaller and with fewer hills. Also, more boats!

Yeah, Vancouver's okay, I guess. If you like expanses of water, ships, planes, and birds. And thousands of people having a nice time. I guess it's okay.

The Museum of Flight is spectacular. And we reached it only after passing Boeing facility after Boeing facility after Boeing facility. Loys of really cool planes!
