A recent release with its first decent discount, Contract Rush DX looks and sounds like a Newgrounds game. And it is! It's also a surprisingly in-depth Mega Man-adjacent platformer where every level has a unique gimmick and feel, multiple sidequests, unlockable characters, multiple endings, etc.

Along with a 20% sale this week, we're also announcing a new content update for the game! We're adding NEW GAME DX, which will add extra content to a second playthrough. It includes new collectables, challenge levels, and special perks for each character.

You can tackle each of the main missions in any order. Most of those levels are pretty big and complex, and each level has a bunch of short side-missions attached to play after, some of which require certain characters unlocked, and there's hidden objectives to get the True Ending and it's a LOT.

There's been so many great little games over the past few months that I've shone too little of a spotlight on. If the idea of Mega Man + Alien Hominid tickles your fanciest places, Contract Rush DX is a joy. Flash-era design expanded polished up to modern standards. Non-linear with lots of options!

Small fanart I quickly whipped up a while back for my friend @figburn.com 's game : Contract Rush DX. The static sprites on the left only have a limit of 4 colours, the other ones repsect NES limitations (3 colors + transparency per 8x8 tile). I might make it a full thing later on!

Just beat this game today! I knew it would be great, but I didn't know it would go THAT hard. Everything from the art, to the music, to all the different characters with their unique play styles was genuinely fantastic. It gets difficult, but it's absolutely worth playing. Don't overlook this one!

Contract Rush DX is out today! Got sent an early key and I've been having a bunch of fun with it. It's a Newgrounds game down to the ground. Old-school vector cartoon animation, silly jokes and cartoon gore. Simple run-and-gun action (a bit Alien Hominid) with DEEPEST LORE. A rare vibe in 2025.

I had the awesome chance to play test this game earlier this year and as the FIRST player to achieve the true ending, I can confirm… This game is dope. Go play it. Or ur a dummy.

I've had the honor of playtesting Contract Rush DX and I probably played for over 30 hours at this point. Also finished the game 100% 2.78 times and I can say very confidently that I like it very, very, very much. Please consider buying it, or at the very least, dropping a wishlist 😊
