In order to achieve the realism I wanted for my Lego Counterspell, I built a scale “card” out of real Lego. I then photographed it to use as reference for the painting.

Tested a bit Sligh with a splash of green to play Naturalize and Tranquil Domain in the SB and it felt really solid. Being able to easily answer CoP red and other enchantments is a game changer. I honestly think this is the superior version of Sligh. #mtgpremodern moxfield.com/decks/ZlIU_3...

Back in the Flash Hulk Days, our LGS at the time instituted a "No Flash" ban for the weekly 1.5. I don't think anyone had a big issue with the decision, but that store ended up closing about 6 months later after the owner had a shoot out with the police.

Playing a Pyrostetic Oath deck on MTGO and Firecat + Oath + Gaea's Blessing is a real fun combination of cards.

Just had my first encounter with Stiflenaught at MTGO after more then 25 games. It was a long game, but won 2-0. I had all the answers at the right time the first game, and recovered from 2 Armageddons. The second game I broke my opponent with a resolved Haunting Echoes and exiled all his key cards.

I quit drinking 8 months ago and I'm glad I did but damn, I sometimes do miss a cold brew.

This is a Coldsnap-appreciation post. The final set of the Ice Age block – released ten years after the second set of the blok: Alliances. An almost perfect set, both in card quality and lore wise. In contained some interesting card designs and brought us some classics.

What Premodern decks do you own?

How often do you think of Dusk Urchins?

The best format around, if you ask me. I've played 10 matches on MTGO the last two days and all 10 opponents played a different deck. Won half of the games, all my opponents were nice people.
