In Donkey Kong Bananza, DK's banana awareness is tied to how far the camera is zoomed out. If the bananas are offscreen, this can create the impression of him playing a silly game with the camera where he makes a funny face only when the player isn't looking closely.

i've had a question for years about super mario world and why 2 player mode sometimes let's you use the same controller to play as mario & luigi but a lot of other times it would only let you use separate controllers. so maybe i just realized it probablydetects if a second controller is plugged in.
