Having said all that... I also started a redraw of a 2024 portrait of Dan Heng IL. I just wanted to see how much I have changed while I tried to step away from semi realism for the past 2 years. Like: can I still do it if I wanted to?

While reviewing my own fics to see what fits the requirements for application, I fell back in love with writing smh. I put so much effort into drawing that I forgot how nice and freeing the process of writing can be. For me, writing is not about effort but about the flow, the words that just spill.

I did it and applied for the second volume of my favourite Zine yesterday! I was so afraid to mess up by filling out the application wrong or smth and then be rejected for formalities. But afterwards, I was just proud of myself for at least trying 👏👏
