i remember one of my senpai saying artistic learning curve is exponential, you can skill up really quickly but when you get to a good artistic level you'll only make smaller improvement so it'll feel like you're not making progress at all... I ended up understanding only after experiencing it myself

there's actually a good amount of art I still like that's even older than 2020... sometimes i even look at some of my teen art and think "this isn't nearly as bad as I used to think back then"
