The Supreme Court recently held oral arguments in the case of Mexico v. Smith & Wesson. Executive Editor Natalie Orpett talked with Jonathan Lowy of Global Action on Gun Violence, who represents the government of Mexico, and Chantal Flores, a freelance journalist who has focused on Mexican cartels.

Jonathan Lowy, president of Global Action on Gun Violence, says gun makers are told when trafficked guns are under investigation and are aware which dealers are selling guns to traffickers. "Manufacturers cutting off these dealers would put an immediate stop to most trafficking routes from the US."
