Hands Across America was 40 years ago today. The event saw millions of Americans holding hands in a human chain to raise money to fight hunger and homelessness. A theme song was recorded by Joe Cerisano, Sandy Farina, and Toto, and its video featured regular Americans and Famous Helping People.
