Even though I had read The Long Walk by @stephenking.bsky.social more than once, I was not prepared for the movie’s ending. And also, “Wanna go for a walk?” is still my favorite line.

That feeling when you spend 25+ years building a beautiful, relevant classroom library, and then get told that the only books allowed in your class must be from the approved list.

If we want our kids to engage in daily choice independent reading, then we need to provide them with books they actually want to read.

I can’t recommend this book enough! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
