Plutarch says she died as a result of a snake bite, administered by her own hand, having smuggled a viper into her rooms in a basket of figs. Is it possible?

Can I tell you how very proud I am of the new series we have on TV tonight? It’s on at 9pm, it’s called ANCIENT AUTOPSY, and it’s on More4. Tonight, we explore the evidence of the death of the last Pharaoh of Egypt, Cleopatra.

How Attenborough’s Ocean exposed ‘violent’ bottom trawlers. “We were aghast, it was a shock,” said producer Toby Nowlan, recalling the first time he saw video of the destructive fishing practice, where weighted nets are dragged across the sea bed. 👇

How David Attenborough’s Ocean exposed ‘violent’ bottom trawlers
Somehow, this documentary is our first close-up look at the way commercial fishing wrecks the sea bed. One of the directors says it’s like watching Nemo flee for his life

What have we done? A whale-watching company in Ireland has closed down permanently because huge trawlers have left nothing but "an empty, lifeless sea." All the dolphins and humpback, minke & fin whales have disappeared, leaving nothing left to watch. Source in 🧵

Watched Ocean with David Attenborough and have to say I have never experienced such a transition from complete dejection and hopelessness to positivity and hope for our future in 90 minutes. The piece on Krill fishing is industrial horror at its absolute hardest hitting. Don't eat fish. Just don't
