This week's sample is a beautiful G-type cosmic spherule. The intricate patterns you see are magnetite dendrites embedded in a glassy matrix. What makes this specimen remarkable is its age: it fell to Earth ~380 mya, yet it’s preserved as if it fell yesterday! ☄️ #Spacedust @amgc-vub.bsky.social

Hello, we are the FLUX team, a research group at @amgc-vub.bsky.social focused on studying Earth's extraterrestrial intake across the Phanerozoic! We are especially focused on cosmic dust variations and how these can be used to further our understanding of the Solar System and Earth's past climate ☄️
