In my local district's State Senate primary, 8 Dems were on the ticket against 2 GOP. A Republican got the top slot and the Dem endorsed by Pelosi took #2 - BARELY. 3 other Dems and 1 GOP came very close. CA Dems need to be better about dropping out if they don't have the numbers.
