Today we are at the Scottish Parliament to watch the first of two days of debate on Stage 3 of the Children (Care, Care Experience and Services Planning) (Scotland) Bill.

Today, was the final Stage 2 debate of the Children (Care, Care Experience and Services Planning) (Scotland) Bill. The robust cross-party engagement in each debate is a clear indicator of sustained commitment to keeping the promise and an understanding that the push for change must continue.

The Promise Story of Progress is a different approach to measuring progress by having real experience at the centre. A clear message across the 10 vision statements from those with care experience is that consistency, clarity, and good communication can make positive differences.

On 5 February 2020, representatives from all parties in the Scottish Parliament promised to transform how Scotland cares, so all children & young people grow up loved, safe, & respected. In the lead up to the 2026 election, it is more important than ever that this cross party commitment continues.
