On Tuesday 2/3, Elizabeth joined Autism Society of Florida Board members Annette Lizardo, Alexsis Ferguson, Barbara Beasley, and Nicole Grabner to testify for Senate Bill 1170 - Cameras in the Classroom to protect vulnerable children from abuse.

In Session 9, Part 2, Leon gets to make choices by expressing his opinion. He is also moving beyond facts to creative writing. Expressing an opinion and creative writing are powerful motivators. https://communication4all.org/c4a-academy/case-studies/

In Session 9, Part 1, Leon is becoming fluent on the letter board. Judy checks with him and asks him to correct when something doesn’t make sense. Coaching open communication is an evolving process. 

Session 8, Part 2 explores openly expressing emotions. Leon shows us that a typer’s mind can wander. Judy encourages an open dialogue and probes what is going on, first with emoticons, and then with the expression of emotions in open communication.

In Session 7, Part 4, Leon uses open communication to express an opinion and make a decision. For Leon, it's about his Halloween costume, and what he wants to do in the future.

In Session 7, Part 3, we see Leon’s sense of humor. Typers like to play with words and surprise you. Judy shows how to have a back-and-forth conversation where you use a typer’s answer to ask another question. This is open communication!
