I still do not have a clue who will win the Gorton and Denton by-election but the Greens say that in six hours today they leafleted all 40,000-plus households, done by 400 volunteers, which does show Lib Dem-style levels of dedication to campaigning (and to the printing trade).

MRP is a *projection* not a poll. It's a projection, based on a national poll, and seat based demographic data. They're only slightly more accurate than a blindfolded asthmatic 3 pints down trying to hit a dart board from 3 meters away.

Simply put, the Green Party spent 2015-2020 obsessed with electoral pacts and alliances, and we didn't actually get anywhere. In 2024, when we weren't obsessed with standing down, we quadrupled our MPs! I don't think going back to standing down again is a positive step. End of.

Good reasons to join the @greenparty.org.uk; Propagate socialism, Have a good time, Stave off depression, Stop climate change. Bad reasons to join the Green Party and tbh we'd rather you didn't; Pursue Labour party factional beef and constantly talk about Jeremy sodding Corbyn.

I just find it bitterly funny that in all the "what will be Labour's challenge to the left" articles, the obvious answer isn't the Green Party, but a party that doesn't exist. This should be a wake up call to leftwing Greens, the party needs serious reform if it's going to compete in 2029.

I think it's right to say that this is the most fertile political soil that @greenparty.org.uk could possibly hope for. The problem is we don't seem interested in capitalising on it. Our Comms are going nowhere at the moment and @greenpartymolly.bsky.social doesn't seem fussed. 🤷🏼‍♂️

The surprising thing here is why groups that establishment Greens like Caroline Lucas and Molly Scott Cato have spent years refusing to speak to and for would vote for us. Bring on a new Green Party. A socialist one that harnesses the anger at neoliberalism, to build a democratic revolution.

The Green Party doesn't believe in trickle down economics because it isn't full of idiots. It believes in the redistribution of wealth though.

All of this has been plain for years. Labour doesn't care. Labour has never cared about the structures of democracy. They care about a fleeting administration, so they can hark back for another 15 years.
