To celebrate having over 300 followers 👋 it’s time for our first PI researcher spotlight @bcellsrosser.bsky.social. Dr Lizzy Rosser established her group in 2022 which focuses on understanding what causes B cells to misbehave in childhood and adolescent onset autoimmune diseases 🦠

We are back with our next ARR researcher spotlight and… it’s @oliviabracken.bsky.social turn! Liv is a post-doc in Prof Arne Akbar’s laboratory interested in the role of senescent T cells in immunopathology during ageing 👵

Happy International Women’s day ✨ Groups in our dept are dedicated to understanding why rheumatic conditions are female biased & how the female life-course impacts health outcomes. Today, we celebrate our female research innovators & highlight the unmet need to improve outcomes for these conditions.

Slightly late to the party, but so pleased that this review is out! We discuss therapies on the horizon to target inflammageing and senescence, both of which contribute to loss of function of the immune system during ageing. The future is exciting!!!
