What we learned today: support local talent

If you mourn the death of Kirk, then you have empathy and I commend you. Everytime the US powers kill an immigrant, a Palestinian, or a queer, that person has a name. You can mourn that named person. If you mourn those deaths as nameless groups but you mourn Kirk’s death, then I question you.

Peter David's wife is reporting that he passed away last night. A versatile writer of comics and prose who adapted well to many characters, he had been having severe health issues for a while. I am glad that he was around, and wish the best to those who knew him.
