Curiosity may have killed the cat. But curiosity also landed the yellow lab half a cheeseburger discarded in a bush one day. A bush to which she now must pay homage on every walk for the rest of time in the hopes that her supplication will result in a second burger. Or perhaps fries.

Perhaps. Perhaps our teen years are for understanding who we are, growing into adulthoods framed by childhood and the pressures of family, friends, society. Then our twenties bring opportunity to understand who we are not, dismantling what shaped us but rather redefining who and what we could be.

It will never cease to amaze me how determination makes cats heavier. Cricket is determined to continue sleeping on my lap. She's only 8 pounds, but I'm pretty sure the determination is at least a 2x modifier.
