Talking about the Yule Goat, lets talk about the Julbocken and Julebukking. There is an old Scandinavian tradition of dressing up as the Yule Goat, and going door by door singing Christmas songs and asking for candy. In Finland, the Yule Goat (Joulupukki) has the role of a gift giver, like Santa.

I know it started around Covid. It was hard to think of anything else. My mind defaulted back to this hermeticism esque stuff, like an ever present intrusive thought that did not want to leave.

I don't hate my recent doodles so far, but I can tell I'm going to be embarrassed by them in a few days. So many pyrotechnics and trying to play slick churning out work when my heart wasn't necessarily in it. What is that? So pompous and preachy. I just want to settle down and do earnest good work.

It was silly of me that I thought I could give birth to a new way of representing reality, like the great civilizations did. Something that took them hundreds of years, I could do in less than a decade. It was very fun and addicting, and I learned a lot! But I gotta give up the ghost.
