Some kids forked one of our old unfinished projects yesterday and immediately assumed we would want to be associated with them. Our site name was featured in their so-called "trailer", also showing work we didn't finish. So that was a fun mess to deal with. Fortunately they've since removed that.

We were watching Discovery last night, and it was quite disturbing just how many times they had to keep doing a flashback to a character getting their neck broken. I hate how unnecessarily graphic it is, but I guess that's modern TV for you. Such a far fall from the grace of TNG.

Gave Hoppers a watch. Enjoyed it a lot more than I expected. Probably one of the better Pixar films I think I've seen in a while.

The other day when I rolled my mouse wheel over the volume slider in Gnome it went to max while I had my headphones on... Which hurt... Tried to reproduce it today and can't, so a little awkward filing a bug report, but guess I've got to be wary of that until I figure out what causes it.

Quite interesting that the first PC release of Resident Evil 4 includes the original timestamps in the GCA archives, and you can see content apparently going all the way back to 2002 which would've been back during its "Castle"/"Fog" iteration I guess.

Had a good run with Fox Toolkit for my engine tooling but gotta move to something that supports DPI scaling a bit better it seems. Always been reluctant to use Imgui for it, just because *everyone* uses it, but when you look around it's pretty obvious why; the other options out there suck.

After a lot of coding hackery I've got an early version of the unreleased Tom and Jerry game running. It's VERY broken, probably something I could fix, but I'm not sure it's worth the effort - even though I have the full source code. This game was later known as 'Tom vs. Jerry: The Chase is On!'

Been replaying BioShock Infinite on PS3 lately (don't ask). It's staggering the difference in detail between it and the PC release at times. Pardon the lame photo, I didn't have my capture card set up. That said, it still looks and plays really decently otherwise.

One of the issues I always have when I start refactoring is that I'll pretty much just overwhelm myself trying to do it all at once. Really need to get into the habit of limiting myself better and trying to tackle one thing at a time - yes that other code is gross, but it can wait!

Well that's disappointing. I was enjoying the game, but to find out not only is there blatant AI art but it's not even disclosed either isn't great and now I'm not so sure about other art in the game.

Attention is turning to working on a little bit of optimisation work now but been slowly, finally, working on actual game stuff again too. #gamedev

Well, that's just grand. Age verified myself when the OSA came into effect on Discord. Now it's asking me to age verify again. Very much inclined to just tell Discord to fuck itself at this point.

Unfortunately as of Monday we had confirmation that Sebastian's cancer was not responding to the chemo and has continued to spread. The vet has est. that he's got days left. Obviously we're a bit of an emotional mess at the moment. Thank you so much to all those that donated towards his treatment.

Been bouncing back and forth between Beyond Good & Evil on the PS3 and the new anniversary edition. The game on PS3 retains a lot of the audio effects such a reverb etc., which seem to unfortunately be absent in the new version, which is a big shame.
