Gotta love when Knight Night goes off the rails.

I know I was joking about the Sims 3 store the other day. To be clear, I never bought anything from it. Stuff was wildly over priced even then.

I need to go outside and dance in the rain or touch the dead grass. Between systems of government repeatedly failing to prevent dictator behaviors, greedy gaming companies being extra scummy, and my boss doing his best to be as likeable as a flaming bag of dog poo, I'm all the way over this week.

For those calling the marketplace the next Sims 3 store, you're not wrong. Also, we're not getting that. We're getting lipstick, shoes, and a $10 bedroom set. In beige. Sims 3 store at least had stupid bangers like the Not So Routine machine that had the decency to make me laugh.

The other two games I play and enjoy that have mircrotransaction options are Dreamlight Valley and Guild Wars 2. It's never my favorite thing. Both of these games have ways for you to earn thier in game money/tokens/gems by completing in game tasks. I doubt this round of EA will do that.

Excuse you very much? You've just announced all previous kits will be retroactively added to this "in game marketplace" and everything going forward is there too. This is the very definition of microtransactions!

WIP. Building the Charms a magic 'castle.' Their old house was massive too. And, well, choices were made that I disagreed with. As for how many packs I've used things from -- probably every pack I own. Yikes.

Anyway. I have lots to build. Also, possibly a desire to turn the Charm family into the Nobility of Glimmerbrook.

When you get to level 4 of the Noble career, you can start a press conference. It's actually fairly effective? Summoned sims to this little, lost, San Myshuno podium at least. In the rain. Oh well, I never see sims here. This was nice. Nice area to give speeches from.

I think I'm missing something obvious. I hope its obvious. I cannot figure out how to level up my Dynasty Head's individual rank. I'm using the vampire and social ideals all the time, I'm practicing the skills, I've made alliances. The dynasty prestige is fine. How do I increase RANK?

I've had this wealthy vampire couple living as neighbors to the Fengs in San Myshuno in my save for ages. Edward and Elizabeth Rockateller. Edward is a high career business man. Elizabeth, well, I had her join the Noble career. What kind of Noble is she? Lily Feng is her adviser, guys.

I only realized this week, when this woman put on her eye patch, that this is not the outfit she is mean to have 😂 I play with MCCC most of the time and I have my own dresser.cfg file. Dresser redressed her way back when she spawned and it never occurred to me how not royal she looks.

Oh, I should load up sims! I said to myself and then promptly got distracted updating mods and CC shopping.

Hmmm. It's very much the wrong kind of swordsmanship in game, but I kind of want to build a small business or custom community lot with a tea shop in the front and a kendo dojo in the back for Mt. Komerobi.

For my save, Nick and Vita are very much alive and buying all of the property they can get their hands on. Had to do some manuvering to get that to reflect correctly in Enzo's family tree. The loops I've gone through. Also, in the dynasty. Of which young Holly is the heir. Enzo's favorite relative.

Finally, Jenny and her Curious brothers are related. As are Chloe and Lola. I know, the twins are supposed to be Pol Tech # 9's kids - my mods, my game, the family tree - none of them were having that mess. Oh well. Close enough.

I've been enjoying overrides to animations in my TS4 game lately. Or just an easy click for a fun pose and action. This one is hang out in bed and chat by simkatu. Its nice to click the bed and have this pose happen.

I killed off Michael Bachelor after he and Dina were married. Dina really said "Dead husband who?" and forgot all about him in the family tree. Which tracks, honestly. Ah, but his memory lives on in her milestones and the wedding certificate on the mausoleum wall.

Playing with the Caliente's. I never know what to do with the TS4 version of them, because who IS Katrina? The girl's mother in Nahgat. Tried making Katrina into Flamenco's 2nd wife - Nina and Dina's step mother. They do not see her as a step mother in relationship panel.

Gave Bella her family too. Needed that spicey Dina who has no idea how Michael died moment. She swears it. Again, workng on killing off the sims as I go.

I took out all of my mods like home regions, so all the sims show up everywhere as they do. Still, I call BS on this. Lily Feng wouldn't be caught dead strolling through a botanical park in Willow Creek.

As I don't intend to start over on a new save too soon, I'm having to build the family trees on my own. Since that's the case, Agatha is getting added in! (Yes, I still have sims to kill. Its a WIP family tree.)

Never mind stairs, time to re-attach some family trees! The Landgraabs of my save file. In which Nancy has a brother (Magnus) and a sister, (Christina). I caved and let Johnny be Nancy's son instead of her nephew as I've always done it. Don't mind Christina, she cloned herself into every occult.

Now. Do I go into my own save, watch the railings all vanish, and hope the next update brings them back? Do I fix them building by building myself? Ehhhh.... That'd be fine. I always tweak builds when I look at them anyway. Here goes the next three hours of my life.

Welp. I guess its Sims 4 in-game event season again. Oh boy. Anyway, I get to haul out my self sim again for this one and enjoy her cottage full of previous event clutter. that's nice.

Okay. Updating mods. (Also finding new mods. Bad choice right before yodeling my game, but here we are.)

I bought a fun rechargeable mouse and keyboard with rainbow back lighting. I love them, I really do. I also forget to charge them at the end of a weekend and wonder why the heck my mouse doesn't work on Friday. Is this my cue to clean house instead? 🤣

I made sure to give Moira Fyres a sprawling farmette and a horse. She and Brownie like to go for pre-dawn rides through the Windenburg countryside and I enjoy watching them.

Nancy: ~Meets one pink, elderly werewolf who comes in as a restaurant customer~ "Wow! Are you my fated mate?!" Mam. You are BOTH married! Maybe happily? The jury is out on that last part.

I'm a little worried about doing any kind of relationship work in my new TS4 save until I see how the update this week rolls out. Hopefully, attaching sims to their appropriate retail stores, restaurants, and rental units as owners should be okay. Either way, backing up may saves tonight!

If there was ever a sim I would bet on managing to intimidate and bully Vlad, its Nancy. Also, its been an age since I payed with someone in the Criminal career. The interactions 😂

Well, look at that! My sims can play cards again. They still throw random animation errors, but they can at least play. Watching them though, sometimes I think they're playing Go Fish 😂

Oh boy, I'd be careful about bathing in that pond my nature loving sims! Or even catching frogs. 😱

Today's building adventures begin with Magnolia Blossom park. Again. This has to be at least my fourth rebuild of this park in the time I've played TS4. This time I went pretty heavy into the nature and floral.

Bare minimum standards met - the high school is fully functional for during play testing. A little big and sprawling, but I'll take it over multiple levels and waiting on sims to climb stairs.
