So it can never be definitive. 20 years ago Vanity Fair was my best book. 15 years ago it was GB84 by David Peace—quite the departure! Right now it’s Hamnet. It can be whatever you want it to be

This is our other Mary, La Esperanza. Sure, she’s a little worn, but then you would be after a couple of thousand years & days spent under a sun that gets hotter with each season. Together, our saints are our emblems, all knowing, full of hope & the promise of protection. So that’s nice. #BookSky
