Sometimes I think I’m watching the slow death of social media as a positive force, as something that connects like-minded people. And yet here I am, pushing my company on social media, hoping enough people will buy into what we do the way they did in its earlier, prototype form via old Twitter.

Like everything in this heat, our subscriptions have dried up. While we’ve not posted much, there’s a lot going on behind the scenes here at Sunburnt Saints. New website should be ready by the end of the month or thereabouts. And *drumroll, please* the first chapbook story has been selected to be published by the end of the summer. #BookSky

All this talk of the greatest novels… it’s a snapshot in time. In that people’s ‘bests’ change over time. So it can never be definitive. 20 years ago Vanity Fair was my best book. 15 years ago it was GB84 by David Peace—quite the departure! Right now it’s Hamnet. It can be whatever you want it to be

This is our other Mary, La Esperanza. Sure, she’s a little worn, but then you would be after a couple of thousand years & days spent under a sun that gets hotter with each season. Together, our saints are our emblems, all knowing, full of hope & the promise of protection. So that’s nice. #BookSky
