The queue for the women's toilets is always longer, if a trans woman feels safer waiting longer to pee then she's pretty serious. Bullying a trans woman into using the men's room is pretty cruel too.

Re-upping this thread - most of it is still accurate and relevant. Key points: Write PERSONAL emails, not templates Say ‘I am a constituent and …’ NEVER EVER threaten anyone. Not directly, not obliquely. Don’t be a smartarse, just smart Do highlight that this issue is one you vote on.

🧵Little thread on how to effectively advocate for issues in Parliament 1. Email your MP. This will always generate a response. 2. Get your local buddies who share an MP to write to the same MP. Three emails on the same subject will always get attention. 3. Don’t write via snail mail…

The life of a nurse is a constant round of hard work; a good deal harder, and infinitely more trying, than the work of an average general servant, whilst the patients are often very ungrateful and given to systematically grumbling at everything done for them.

I ran a beginners felted landscape class today at Village Beads - it was the first time I'd offered this particular class, so I was a little worried about how it'd go, but everyone did brilliantly! Here's just four of the "paintings" 🥰

No GenAI, no matter how much the different webpages and articles discussing different data approaches use the phrase when talking about trade-offs, should use the phrase "my personal recommendation" because it is not a person nor is it its recommendation, it is an uncredited synthesis of sources.
