Played The demo of Azaran by @benjigamedev.bsky.social. its just amazing, I missed moving like this in a game for so long. Also its neat to see things that were uploaded as progress and tips as things I get to interact with. Loved it, cant wait for the full game release

I just finished the demo of #Azaran, an indie game made by @benjigamedev.bsky.social. I felt like I traveled back to 1998 in a very positive way. Back then I loved Ocarina of Time, and Azaran feels, looks, and plays like OoT so much! I really enjoyed it, and the puzzles were great! #indiegame

environments in my game are all "unlit" - only Zayd's model responds to lights in the scene. The sides of the blocks are simply a darker material, the pit fades to black using vertex colors, and the glowing ring is just a material that ignores fog

The shiny bodysuit/armor works by slapping on a black/white gradient texture and applying it based off of mesh normal reflection from the camera. You can change its scale and values from a remap node to fine-tune the effects intensity. Shoutout to @benjigamedev.bsky.social for helping me find this!
