I was able to capture the total lunar eclipse as it came in to view at around 7:30pm (AWST) in Albany, Western Australia. The clouds made it troublesome, which is typical for the Great Southern. But every now and then the moon peeked through. #lunareclipse #astrophotography #canon

This was the best we could see the #AuroraAustralis this evening in #Albany, #WesternAustralia (*grumbling* ... damn clouds). Taken from Emu Point at approx. 8:48pm on 20th January. Beams could be seen with the naked eye with a pale pink sky in parts.

Happy New Years! We had some lovely fireworks here in Albany. I wasn't going to go, but my son talked me in to it. I'm glad I went. The explosions were also ricocheting off the mountains. Sounded pretty cool. The fireworks also set off a few of car alarms. 😂

I'm not sure if I should be angry or flattered about this. 🤔 A member on a photography page I belong to alerted me there were 3 posts, from 3 different individuals, passing off my aurora photo as their own. The thieves were stupid enough to leave my watermark on, and copy/pasted my description!🙄

These squatters don't take long to set up camp. 🐝 I left to do some grocery shopping, then I come home an hour later to see this! The bees have made their home on the front fence, near the garage door. I've called a bee keeper, and he said he'll hopefully come by in about an hour. 🤞

TA-DA! I finished the Willy Wonka Lego set. It's a cute set with little references to the movie. I personally like the daffodil tea cups. Of course, I had to place Augustus Gloop on the edge of the chocolate river. Oh, and the chocolate waterfall moves ... with a bit of help.

My first Flanders #poppy has bloomed from seed!! Being someone who can kill a plant by just looking at it, this is a huge accomplishment for me. 😁 There's quite a few more pods to bloom, so I'm hoping to see more before they get pinched by a passers-by or two. #flowers #gardening

My plan today was housework. But the universe had other ideas. I decided to 3D print something before housework. What happened next has taken me 2hrs for me to eventually give up. Two filament rolls decided to unravel. The battle was too much. I don't want to do housework now. I want chocolate. 🙁

And so it begins. Another Lego in the works. This time, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. I'm taking my time with this one so I can get my monies worth. 😄
