On April 3, 🇪🇪 hosted a conference on the law of the sea and the protection of critical undersea infrastructure. Participants from nearly 30 states. Focus on prevention, enforcement measures and legal processes regarding the damage to CUI in coastal state’s EEZ. Good fruit for thought for states.

In a joint letter 12 likeminded countries, including Estonia call on #G7 to take additional steps to reduce Russia's revenues from selling its energy carriers. 1/3 of Russia’s revenues & 2/3 of its exports are linked to energy carriers. With these revenues Russia funds its aggression in #Ukraine.

We must bring justice to the victims. Estonia remains committed to creating a tribunal that overcomes immunities & allows prosecution of crime of aggression as a leadership crime based on the Rome Statute. Looking forward to initiating formal process within the Council of Europe.

Russia started this war so Russia must pay the price of it. Today Ukraine will receive €3 billion from our G7 loan which will be repaid with the proceeds from Russian frozen assets. This will support Ukraine’s economy and free up Ukrainian money for defence.
