I’m very proud of Andrew Gant and my Lib Dem colleagues for piloting this scheme in response to rapidly rising congestion causing particular problems to Oxford bus services. With quite generous local exceptions, this will be hugely beneficial to very many of us around the County.

Very proud of all the work we've done and are doing in Oxfordshire to help schools install solar panels and cut their utility bills.

This policy should improve public transport by making the buses faster, more frequent and more reliable. Labour appears to want the exact benefits this policy will bring but are currently opposing it because they think it's unpopular. I'm sure they'll U-turn again if it works.

The whole point of the congestion charge is to cut bus travel times and also raise money that we can use to make public transport better. Unless Anneliese has a different plan that will deliver these benefits (in which case she's kept awfully quiet about it) she should support this one
