Self-consciousness about your art feels unpleasant, but it means your tastes are growing. Your personal taste as it guides your work is kind of an essential part of being an artist. Practice builds your skills and your point of view! You want to develop the Artist’s Hand *and* the Eye, so to speak.

We woke up today to find that our Sweet Boi Rhaegar, lover of head kisses and chest rubs, left us some time in the night while asleep in his favorite spot on the couch. He was perfectly happy and healthy last night. All we can figure is he had a heart condition the vet never found.

Thiiis. I have a part time job because the art world is so wholly unstable. And tbh it’s just good for me to get out of the house. And I do also have a partner that makes more money than I do, which is why I’m able to work only part time. Having another job doesn’t make you a failure.

Update on the dnd character that was turned to stone last session: I’m a weeping angel now 😂 dm wanted me to still be able to play so the solution was either play a temp character or I can only move when no one’s looking. So now I’m an aasimar dhampir weeping angel. This is going to be hilarious.

Finally saw K-Pop Demon Hunters and it was good. But to me it reeks of a project that got a lot of stuff cut from it due to studio interference. I feel like a lot of the plot needed context that got left behind. Like it needed to be a show or get an additional hour so it could let the story breathe.

Played d&d yesterday. The Druid has access to reincarnation. DM leaves to use the bathroom. While he’s gone the Druid player asks (OOC) if everyone is ok with their character being reincarnated if we end up in that scenario. We’re cool with it but it was a conversation I found interesting.
