Had a smashing weekend helping
@joewargamer.bsky.social
run his What a Tanker game at Warfare. For those of you interested in logistics this is what Joeâs 15x6 28mm terrain looks like in its packed up state and for storage. it does all fit in one car (just!).

After a quiet few weeks hobby time I made it to Joy of Six show at Sheffield yesterday. Great to see so many lovely 6mm games underway. Enthusiasm suitably restored!

From humble beginnings to the biggest 6mm show in the world! Had so much fun and met so many great people in the hobby over the last 12 years. The Joy of Six, 13th july in Sheffield. I will try to make an effort, perhaps you could do too by reposting this? More here

Just started reading this. I am only 100 pages in but it has me hooked already. You can say what you like about GW prices and their game rules and commercial practices but the 40K lore theyâve created and continue to expand through their Black Library is so atmospheric and entertaining.

Douglas Hillâs Last Legionary series got me into reading Sci Fi as a 10 year old. So good. A lone warrior from a destroyed world armed with an indestructible titanium skeleton and accompanied by his trusty alien pterodactyl on a quest for revenge against an evil empire.

Be a human being. Write badly. Draw badly. Make a mess. Make mistakes. Research. Think. Read. But do the work yourself. Be original. Be odd. Better yourself each time. Grow as a person, as a writer, as an artist, as a musician, at the pace you grow at. Do not sacrifice that to AI.

The 1/8 scale Deepcore miniature from the movie the Abyss. This was shot "dry for wet". Meaning it was shot on a stage and water effects were added in post. I'm in the gray hoodie doing a weathered wash on it. This and several other models were made at Design Setters, 1988/89.

When a game turns 30 years old and is still beloved by many, you know it was a winner! Play it now in half scale with a revamped fully 3D set. The tiles are updated to PLA prints which are lighter, sturdier and have helped bring the price down!

Homeward bound from Salute. A quick pitstop at IWM Duxford for a tea break and a stroll around the airfield. The Airborne assault exhibition in the Airspace hangar is a hidden gem and includes the original briefing boards for Op Tonga and Varsity.

If you're mad and find yourself yelling that you want someone launched into the Sun, take a moment, calm yourself, and remember that it takes a lot less Delta v to launch them out of the Solar System instead. You can be mad, but that's no excuse to be inefficient with propellant.
